The bioscan is super useful in the first 80% of the mission especially with the darkness and fog, but it's usefulness falls off a bit in the scan just because enemies come from so many directions it's hard to get more than 1/3 of them in the scan cone, so I've been thinking of switching that to a turret. So I'm just wondering what tips folks have for surviving that scan.
We were thinking maybe instead of going straight for each scan, stopping at strategic chokepoints on the way, clearing the wave, and then scanning, since the scans are usually in a really open area where enemies can come from all sides, but the time we tried that was the last time, someone got separated (tired people make mistakes) and went down, and it was late so we had to call it and couldn't try that strategy again. We put as many mines as we could on the stairways leading from the 3rd floor to the second, which helps with the first wave, and carry our turrets with us and put them down at each scan, and we've gotten to the 4th scan, but as soon as someone goes down we're toast - it takes too long to get them up and by that time another wave is on us and someone else goes down and we're just in a death loop. We were completely full on ammo, tool, and health with extra left over, running two sentries, bioscan, and mines. So my team can crush D1 up until the class 6 scan, and then we keep having to call it bc we've been playing for so long and everyone is tired.
